A true story.

This isn't anything to do with me but...

My friend and work colleague has just sold his smart Roadster because it was costing him too much money (WTF?). Ok, the servicing was costing him too much money because he does about 100 miles a day and they want a service every 7,000 miles. And, the loan was costing him too much too.

So the plan was to a) sell the roadie and b) buy a cheap diesel something that did the same mpg but only wanted a service every 20,000.

So he bought an Audi A3 2.0 TDi that cost nearly as much as he sold the smart for. (Ooh, so that'll reduce the loan then won't it?)

On the way back home he stopped in a fuel station, and, whilst looking for the filler release, found the small compartment under the seat that all A3's have.

This small compartment contained a plastic bag. This bag was full of cocaine (or similar powder). And the amount would seem to indicate that it wasn't for personal use. Trying not to look conspicuous, he slipped the bag in a nearby rubbish bin, and staring wildly in panic, drove home. Slowly.

The next day he found another bag, this time full of 75 "E's"...

We went out this morning to get a rear light bulb and heard a distinctive "whoosh, thud" noise coming from the dashboard. "That's where they've hidden the heroin, or the gun...", I said.

What would you do now?
  1. Phone the police in case you're stopped and searched and they find something else?
  2. Tip off the Old Bill with the seller's name and address?
  3. Phone him, laugh, and tell him his stash is now in landfill?
  4. Sell the E's + anything else you find and pay off your loan?
  5. Put the car on eBay tonight, right now, Buy-It-Now, £100?
  6. Emigrate to Australia in case they come looking for the car?
  7. Any one or all of the above?
Answers on a postcard please.

Oh, the noise was frozen snow sliding along the scuttle.
